In the early 1980s, Steve’s Elk River Nursery began planting the seeds for its success. Equipped with a horticulture degree from the University of Minnesota, Steve Eid took to managing this Elk River-area nursery before purchasing and renaming it three years later. 

Over the decades, the nursery has grown and developed in size, capabilities, and the quality of products and services it provides today, which include:

HISTORY

What started with a dream and a mission has since become a booming—and blooming—business venture. While working a summer job at a nursery in the 1970s, Steve Eid discovered an appreciation and love for plant life and the landscaping profession. He then studied horticulture at the University of Minnesota, where he earned his degree and cultivated a plan for running his own nursery.

 

Three years into managing a nursery in Elk River, Steve purchased the company and renamed it Steve’s Elk River Nursery. To this day, Steve and the team continue to help others create beautiful gardens and functional landscaping regardless of size, scope, or budget.

Our Affiliations

At Steve’s Elk River Nursery, we are honored and proud to be affiliated with the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA). This organization is made up of a collection of green industry professionals in garden centers, landscaping design and installation, nurseries and greenhouses, irrigation and water management, tree services, and more. The MNLA helps its members more efficiently and effectively operate their businesses through educational offerings, industry campaigns, networking opportunities, and more.
